North White Oak Civic Association

The North White Oak Civic Association (NWOCA) is a not-for-profit community association formed in 1974 to serve the needs of the North White Oak neighborhood bounded by Colesville Road (US 29), New Hampshire Avenue (MD 650), Jackson Road, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park. The mission of the NWOCA is to: (1) preserve the quality of the neighborhood, (2) keep the community informed on issues that impact us, and (3) serve as an advocate for the community's position on those issues with governmental officials.

The NWOCA meets about three times each year at the White Oak Library, usually on Wednesday evenings. Meetings are publicized through street signs and our e-mail distribution list.
